The Company is in search of a dynamic, self-motivated, mature and result-oriented individual with excellent leadership skills for the above post. Reporting to the Managing Director and as a member of the Executive Committee, the General Manager – Life, will possess a sound understanding of all aspects of Life Insurance and manage the life insurance portfolio of the Company. He/she will also provide leadership to the Life Insurance Division.

The Job:
This position requires extensive knowledge in New Business underwriting, Claims, Servicing and Actuarial Functions including experience in dealing with reinsurers and servicing of life insurance policies whilst ensuring very high professional standards at all times. The person will be responsible in achieving a number of KPIs relating to the life insurance business. The supervision and necessary coaching of the Life Division team towards achieving the Divisional and Company targets are also an essential part of this job role.

The prerequisites:
Preferably a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK or any other similar professional institute relating to insurance. A Masters or Bachelors Degree from a recognized university will be a definite advantage.

A minimum of 15 years experience in the insurance industry with at least 05 years in a senior management capacity within a well structured organization.

Comprehensive knowledge of all Key Result Areas described above together with excellent leadership, communication and strong interpersonal skills are required.
