The Aepona Technical Support Manager (TSM) based in Colombo, Sri Lankais a senior technical resource who is dedicated to ensuring the success of the Aepona support and operations staff based in Sri Lanka. The Aepona TSM takes personal responsibility for the support and operational services supplied from Sri Lankaand ensure that Aepona customers are delivered the highest quality of service possible. The Aepona Technical Support Manager will be expected to lead by technical and professional example whilst ensuring that teamwork is at the core of everything.

Experience and Qualification:
    Educated to degree level in a computer related discipline (or equivalent), with a demonstrated strong computing technology background and technical ability.
    Strong background working with Telco’s
    Strong experience in issue resolution, issue prioritization, customer management, project management and technical account management.
    Strong experience in tracking customer issues through to resolution and providing regular status reports to customers and internal teams.
    Strong knowledge of mobile technologies, UNIX, Weblogic, Oracle and MySQL offers a distinct advantage.
    Applicants should have 5-6 years experience working in a technical services and customer-focused role within the IT industry.
    Some management/team leadership of solution resolution teams.
    5 years + working with and developing Java Technologies.

    Ability to make independent decisions in a fast moving remote environment
    Strong customer facing skills.
    Excellent organizational skills.
    Excellent knowledge of UNIX (Sun, Linux, HP or Solaris) and Windows
    Knowledge of programming techniques especially Java.
    Excellent SQL experience – especially Oracle and MySQL.
    Ability to work without supervision using own initiative.
    Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
    Willingness to travel for periods of time
    Ability to work as part of a distributed team
