Global Lanka (Pvt) Ltd require a Technical Architect (C# .Net WCF, SQL Server) to make high level design, architecture and technology decisions and choices for software applications development program. It is essential you have experience working on large scale applications but can come from across industry sectors.
 
You will be responsible for:
·         Development and review of software architecture
·         Choosing a standard way of pursuing application design and development
·         Creating & defining an applications framework
·         Recognising potential reuse in the organization or in the application
·         Observing and understanding the broader system environment
·         Having knowledge of other applications in the organization
·         Subdividing a complex application, during the design phase, into smaller, more manageable pieces
·         Grasping the functions of each component within the application
·         Understanding the interactions and dependencies among components
·         Communicating these concepts to developers
·         Providing key advice to the business for issues relating to architecture and technical considerations
·         Providing advice on technical matters including:
o   Architecture and design
o   Technologies and component re-use
o   Development processes and practices
·         Be a key participant in developing overall software architecture and design
 
It is expected you will have
·         Minimum 7 years experience in software development overall.
·         Experience in design, development and deployment of software using Microsoft technologies.
·         Strong C# .Net WCF services experience.
·         Architecture frameworks.
·         Continuous integration.
·         Patterns and best practices.
·         Commercial experience with SOA.
·         Extensive experience with SQL Server 2005 & 2008.
·         Commercial experience with Windows Forms development.
·         Excellent development experience in software design and architecture using .NET and Web Development technologies.
·         Experience in training software engineers in design and architecture approaches.
·         Ability to mentor fellow team members and work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with development of shrink-wrapped software; designing software architecture, designing secure scalable online platforms, conversions and working with accounting software are all favourable.

The selected candidate will require working independently and coordinating work with project managers in Australia & Sri Lanka and should be prepared to work in Australia as and when it is required.
