Mechanical or Civil Engineer - Overseas
Wanted – Mechanical or Civil Engineer for Quality Control work with experience in military, airfield paving, airfield lighting. Candidates must have working experience in military construction, preferably of airfield projects
YOU WILL BE WORKING FOR RDC AND SENT ON AN OVERSEAS CONSULTANCY FOR 18 MONTHS. CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL OVERSEAS AND HAVE A VALID PASSPORT.
Requirement
*Graduate Mechanical/Civil Engineer with 10 yrs experience, preferably in industrial projects (specifically hangars and airfield improvements) with special emphasis on HVAC and chiller systems. Mechanical engineer must be able to test and balance HVAC units.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure all work is performed and records are maintained which conform to the requirements of the contract
*Working knowledge of the USACE’s Three Phases of Control quality compliance program
*Knowledge of USACE 385-1-1 Safety Program
*Ensure work performed conforms with engineering specifications and Corps of Engineers standards and monitor implementation of project quality control plans
*Review and comment on Quality Control program developed by construction contractors
*Perform in-depth review to verify conformity with engineering standards and specifications on project design and construction stage.
*Write inspection reports, non-compliance reports;
*Maintain construction submittal and product cut sheets logs.
*Review product submittals for conformance to project specifications.
*Prepare and maintain inspection reports
*Knowledge of applicable international and American standards...ICC, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA.
*Confirmed full working knowledge of quality system standards and methods.
*Fluent command of the English language (spoken and written)
*Good working knowledge of standard PC workstation usage and Microsoft Office software applications.
